Take a look at II Corinthians 4:4, “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
Colossians 1:15, “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:” Speaking of Jesus Christ, God dwelling in the flesh. Colossians 3:10, “And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:” Hebrews 1:1-3, speaks of pure oneness with the Father in fleshly nature. “1.) God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2.) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3.) Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” Notice how person is in the singular tense. Person does not speak of three or two deities.
The book of John records words spoken by Jesus Christ relating him as being one with the Father. John 5:23, “That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.”
John 5:26-27, 26.) “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; 27.) And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.” God dwelling in flesh, giving authority to the flesh to be able to execute the Father’s will. John 6:35, “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” Once again, we see where Jesus is that bread of life and has all power and authority to fulfill all whom hunger and thirst for that life.
John 5:30-32, 30.) “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. 31.) If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. 32.) There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.” In this passage of scripture we see and understand that authoritative witness; not of a second person deity coming of his own from pre-existence, but of God the Father (the Holy Ghost) being incarnated in the fleshly nature. The fleshly humanity of Jesus could not do anything of its own authority and will. The humanity side did not have the power by itself to do the miraculous. That divine power of authority was of God the Father, the Holy Ghost in action through the flesh. Look at John 5:36-37, 36.) “But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. 37.) And the Father himself, [God of the Old and New Testament] which hath sent me [the human nature born of woman] hath borne witness of me. [God incarnated in the flesh] Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.” According to John 4:24, god is a Spirit. Colossians 1:15, “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:”
