but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.” The manifestation of the Spirit, and the water, and the blood are witnessed of God the Father, the Holy Spirit, and the Son of God into the body of Jesus Christ.
Look at II John 7, “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” No, the fleshly nature of God was not yet in the Old Testament, “...that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.” it occurred in the New Testament in Matthew and Luke’s writings.
For better understanding of this, look at John 1:1-14, 1.) “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2.) The same was in the beginning with God.” (Preexistence of Christ-I John 1:1-2, 1.) “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2.) For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew witness unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)” I John 3:5, “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.” 3.) “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4.) In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5.) And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6.) There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7.) The same came for witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8.) He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9.) That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10.) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11.) He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12.) But as many as received him, to him gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13.) Which were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14.) And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
We understand that the name of God is YHWH (I AM-eHYeH) of the Old Testament. In the New Testament God’s name is translated as Jesus. The Spirit (Holy Ghost) of Jesus is God Almighty, the Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
II Corinthians 3:12-17, 12.) “Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: 13.) And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished. 14.) But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is done away in Christ. 15.) But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their hearts. 16.) Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. 17.) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
II John 9, “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.” This signifies the oneness with the Father. There are not two images of persons of deity.
