Page 71 - Countering Trinitarian Arguments With Historical Reference
P. 71
"Wherefore thou art great, O LORD GOD: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears."-2: Sam. 7:22.
"And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:"-Mark 12:29.
The overwhelming evidence of Scripture and Hebrew Grammar proves that echad does not always mean a compound unity or plurality and it never means or equals a trinity, three gods, or persons when applied to God. God is one alone there is none like him, or any other Divine Person (God) with him. To take the term echad out of context shows how desperate Trinitarian theologians are to prop up the Trinity doctrine. It also shows that out of either ignorance or deceit they don't always tell the truth or the rest of the story. Many parrot what they here or are told and never do any in-depth research for themselves. The Scriptures confirm the fact of only one God: “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”-Eph. 4:6. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”-James 2:19.
Trinitarians would have us believe that there is one God but he is not one alone numerically as the Scriptures teach. The Trinity theory is that existing in the one Godhead there are three divine persons that all work together as one unit in a pantheon. Like a family of divine eternal Persons coequal in power coexisting together. God does not agree with this coequal teaching "To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One." [Echad]-Isa. 40:25. The clear answer is that no other God exist. "...Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any."-Isa. 44:8. Divine Persons (gods), this kind of sounds like Mormonism or Paganism, a bit too heathenistic, so many Trinitarians backtrack and say, well there is only one God the Father, and he has a God the Son and God the Holy Spirit comes from both of them. Again contradicting themselves, either God is only one alone or there exists multiple Gods. It cannot be both ways and to label the Trinity a “Mystery” does not make it a reality. The Hebrew word echad equals one God alone and not a group of coexisting gods.
The ancient Hebrew expression for power or authority: “Right Hand of God”
Roman Catholicism has convinced the majority that there is a Trinity. Another trick that is used by Trinitarian proponents is the “Right Hand of God” argument. According to Rome’s Trinity hypothesis, there is a God the Father and standing on his right hand is another divine coexisting entity called God the Son. Anyone that has done any in-depth personal study of the Scriptures and this Hebrew expression knows that this is a lie and the ultimate grand deception. As already proven there is only one God alone with no other God beside, with, or like him! There is only one God on one throne in Glory! Therefore, how could there be a God and another God with the first God literally standing on his right hand? Does it not sound a little strange that Jesus is literally standing on another God’s right hand? Imagine for a moment this very absurd picture in your mind two gods together like this.
