90 ♦ Bible Writers'Theology Chapter Four
Jesus stated, 'W e will come" (John 14:23). He used the term we, but not in the senseoftwopersons.InspeakingofapersonacceptingChrist, Jesussaid that "we" will come unto him. Trinitarians try to argue that two persons are spoken of here. However, there are not two persons (two or more gods) that come into a believer. There is only one Spirit that can come in and that one Spirit is God.
VJhen God and the man Christ were blended together through God's own plan, this man became the person ofGod and was glorified with God. This man was the begotten Son ofGod. Thus He could use the terminology, "\Ne will come in and take upourabode in him." Today Christ lives in us-that is. His Spirit does. God lives in us and God is a Spirit. His body lives in heaven. That Spirit was clothed with His body." (pages 188-189)
God has manifested Himself as only one human person. God, the omnipresent, invisible Spirit, became visible by wrapping Himself in flesh, and that fiesh-and- blood man xvas called Jesus Christ. The invisible and the visible blended together, and the invisible was always recognizing the visible as the person ofthe invisible. That is why II Corinthians 5:19 says, "To wit (to know), that God (the invisible) was in Christ (the visible), reconciling the world unto himself." That is why Jesus said.
