bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit" (I Peter 3:18). Jesus himself said, "For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45).
He also said, "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep" (John 10:11).Christ died in our stead as a true Passover Lamb (Exodus 12; I Corinthians 5:7), and was the sin offering (Isaiah 53:10) of which the lambs in the Old Testament economy were but types (Leviticus 6:24-30; Hebrews 10:1-4). He was also the scapegoat (Leviticus 16:20-22; John 6:51; John 15:13; Luke 22:20; Romans 8:32; Hebrews 2:9).
B It Satisfies God's Impeccable Nature
The fundamental attribute of God is holiness. It is therefore reasonable that the holy God should be given full satisfaction to remove the outrage of sin. To validate our redemption, the Word of God became God's flesh and blood. The death ofChrist ofGod then supplies this satisfaction (Acts 20:28; John 1:1-14).
On the otherhand, the main reason why God so loved the world by giv ing his only begotton son who has impeccable nature is that He is the sym pathetic creator of His creation. God became Immanuel to take away the sin and test of His people. "God saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor; therefore His Arm brought salvation unto Him, and His righteousness itsustained Him" (Isaiah 59:16-18; Ezekiel 34; Psalm
23; John 10:1-30).

C It Satisfies the Justice of God
Justice of God means that God is fair and impartial. God's justice is a fear ful thing to the sinner because it guarantees that he, the unrepentant, will be punishedintheend. ManhassinnedagainstGodandhasincurredHisdis pleasure and condemnation. God exacts the penalty of a broken law. He can not free the sinner until the demands of justice are satisfied. God will not, except by substitution, clear the guilty (Exodus 34:7; Numbers 14:18). God's
