Bodies Sleeping were Raised
The raising of Lazarus in John 11.
The raising of the Old Testament saints (Matthew 27:52-53) The resurrection of our Lord Jesus in Matthew 28.
Bodies of the Born-Again on Resurrection Day
After the resurrection, we will have an immortal body - strong, healthy and handsome,fittopartakeofeternallifeQob19:25-27;John 6:39; Romans 8:11-23; I Corinthians 6:13-20).
Since we shall be clothed in Christ's flesh, we shall rise with a glori ous body like that of Christ.
Philippians3:21,"Whoshallchangeourvilebody,thatitmaybefash ioned like unto his glorious body."
I John 3:2 says "but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him."
I Corinthians15:49-50:"Andaswehavehometheimageoftheearthy, w e shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and bloodcannotinheritthekingdomofGod;neitherdoth corruption inherit incorruption."
Romans 8:29, "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son." (Ephesians1:4-7; 2:1-10).
Jesus Christ had the Same Body after His Resurrection
Visible: Luke 24:39, "... it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have."
Identifiable: Luke 24:31, "...their eyes were opened, and they knew him". ICorinthians15:39-51clearlyindicatesthenatureofourbodies in the day of resurrection.
Healthy and incorruptible (Acts 2:31).
Glorious body (I Corinthians 15:41-49; Philippians 3:21; John 1:14-18; Mark 9:2-3).
W as touched, handled (John 20:27; Luke 24:39; Matthew 28:9). Powerful body (I Corinthians 15:43).
Spiritual body (I Corinthians 15:40-49; John 6:30-57). Heavenly body (I Corinthians 15:40-51). Resurrection body (John 11:25; John 10:18; 6:54-55)
Our bodies shall be like Christ's body that can easily ascend to heaven.
