Eternal State
M£in has one of two final destinations. One is everlasting life in heaven with God, and the second is everlasting punishment in the lake of fire (Deuteronomy 30:19). Where will you spend eternity? Your choice will mat ter!! (Ezekiel 18: 30-32; Matthew 18:8; 25:41, 46; II Peter 3:9; Matthew 10:28; 13:42-43,50; Revelation 21:8; Daniel 12:2).
E The Location of Heaven and Hell
Before the resurrection of Jesus Christ, paradise and Hades were in the sameareaundertheearth(Luke16:19-26;Revelation1:17-18). Jesus"went and preached to the spirits that were in prison" or Hades and transferred them to heaven (Luke 23:43; II Corinthians 12:2-4; Hebrews 12:22-23; I Peter 3:19). Ephesians4:8states:"Whenheascendeduponhigh,heledcaptivity captive..." (Ephesians 4:9-10).
After the resurrection of Jesus, we see that paradise is transferred to the third heaven. Witchdoctors would not have brought up Samuel from the thirdheavenafterJesushadbeenresurrected(ISamuel28:14). However,the witchdoctor can bring up sinners from Hades, sheoul, because it is in the
same location as in the Old Testament times.
The Bible advises us not to seek people that have familiar spirits and wiz ardsthatpeepandmutter. However,itsays,"shouldnotapeopleseekunto theirGodforthelivingtothedead?" (Isaiah8:19).
F False Belief Concerning Repentance after Death
The possibility of repentance after death and pulsatory is a false belief. I Corinthians 3:12-15 deals only with persecution of fire.
