In all the above scriptures, God is strictly commanding us to know that there is no other god beside Him, and God has never known a second or a third god. Isaiah 43:10-11, ^ e are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he, before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even 1, am the LORD: and beside me there is no savior." Most of all, the jealous God has warned us not to know any other god beside Him (Deuteronomy 5:7; Exodus 20:5; Deuteronomy 32:39; II S£unuel 7:22; 1 Chronicles 17:20; Isaiah 45:6; 45:21-22; 46:9; 48:12-13,18). Exodus 22:20 states "He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed."
The Bible declares, "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me." (Isaiah 46:9). God has Sciid that He will not give His glory to another (Isaiah 48:11; Isaiah 42:8). IsaiahfurtherdeclarestheonenessofGodsaying,"OLORDofhosts, God of Israel that dwellest between the cherubims thou art the God, even
thou alone of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made: the heaven and earth." (Isaiah 37:16). We must know that there is only one God who is the creator. Father, Word and Spirit (Malachi 2:10; John 4:24; John 1:1;Zechariah 14:9). In short, the Bible speaks of only one God. Many times the Bible calls God the Holy one of Israel, but never the holy two or three or the holy trin ity (Psalm 71:22; 78:41; Isaiah 1:4; 5:19; 5:24). Men of God, when addressing their prayer to God, prayed in the following mode: "Thou, even thou art Lord alone, thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their hosts..." (Nehemiah 9:6). The word "alone" is always mentioned by oneness believers in the Old Testament and the New Testament, (Jude 3-4,25; I Tim
1:17; 6:15; II Samuel 7:22).
When they worshipped the only God saints testified about His oneness in the Old and the New Testaments:
• "And the LORD appeared unto Abram..." Here we see that only one Lord appeared to Abram (Genesis 12:7).
• "...And there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him." Here again we see that the patriarch made one altar for the one
God (Genesis 12:7),
• "...And there he builded an altar unto the LORD,and called upon the name of the Lord." Abram called upon one name while building one altar (Genesis 12:8; 13:4,18).
• "And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, 1am the God of Abraham thy father...." And Isaac, "builded an altar there, and
