Stich as Should Be Saved
Mokonnen Lodamo, Data Gareno, Debissa Halchaye, Alaro Sanna, Haile Sanamo, and Abba Dama Tuleray— and four other fine men—Ashenafi Andarge, Samuel Ja- jerso, Birhanu Mena and Mengistu Meskele—took their stand for truth in 1970. All of these men are dedicated leaders and preachers in the Apostolic Church of Ethiopia.
"Take the truth to the churches that were formerly under your supervision," the Lord directed Tekle. He decided to start with the village of Sivay in Wollayta District. Over seventy of Pastor Alaro's members had received the Holy Ghost in earlier services Tekle held there. Over the evening meal, Tekle shared with Alaro the scriptural truth of baptism in the name of Jesus.
Alaro jumped from the table in anger. "If you were not my friend, I would kick you out of my house right now. Since there is no lodging available, you may spend the night, but I will ask you to leave early in the morning." He stormed out of the room without finishing the meal.
A tremendous light filled his room and awakened Alaro in the night. A majestic angel stood by him, and he fell to the floor trembling.
"Do not resist the life-giving message you heard from Tekle," the angel said, "and do not be an obstacle to those who desire to hear the W ord."
Alaro lay on the floor weeping until dawn. He came to Tekle's room with a broken spirit and asked forgiveness for his outburst at supper. After he told of his vision, he said, "Now, please teach me the truth."
Tekle taught him and the church and baptized the adult members in the name of Jesus.
Alaro accompanied Tekle to Sabore, Gatcheno, and Offare. A group of preachers gathered at Debissa's house
