to the Lord and started the church at Aleta-Wondo where Zerihune long served as pastor.
The more souls he brought in, the more angry his boss became and repeatedly ordered him to stop. When he would not, the boss transferred him to a lonely, waterless border post in the desert and withheld his salary for three months. Faithful Yakob would not desert his responsibili ty, and he starved to death. Since that time eighty thou sand souls have found God in the region where he foimd- ed the church. From 1974 to 1977 countless people died violently in Ethiopia. Miraculously, frequent attempts on the lives of the church people failed; Yakob was the only fatality during that time.
Bekele Feyye is the genial, sweet-spirited secretary- treasurer of the Apostolic Church of Ethiopia. He has come a long way. When he and Tekle lived in Awasa, he worked for the minister of finance and served as a faithful deacon in the Coptic church. He suffered from demon possession for six years, having seizures that causedhim to fall headlong unconscious, foaming at the mouth and screaming, and to remain in that state for hours.
He tried numerous hospitals and "holy water" cures and traveled thousands of kilometers to famous witch doc tors. He spent everything that he had trying to find relief. Nothing helped.
One day, his colleague Yakob brought him to church, and one simple prayer in the almightyNamedrove eight hundred demons out of him. He found not only deliverance but also salvation. His wife and son had endured such af flictions that Tekle called it a "destroyed" household. They received the same blessed benefits as Bekele and have been tireless soul winners ever since.
