have been born. Doctors discovered that the baby had died and told the family to take the mother home to die; she could not live. Tekle encouraged them to believe God, who can raise the dead. "Station someone at the door to tell everyone that she lives, and do not weep, even if she ap pears to be dead. We will pray."
After a lengthy time of prayer, the deadbabyarrived, and the mother appeared lifeless, with no vital signs. "Now we will really pray," Tekle declared. Several hours later, her body became warm. Soon Bisrat opened her eyes and asked, "Where have I been?" She is a living, healthy testimony of God's power and the wife of the pres ent pastor at Awasa.
The Lord did these mighty works at Awasa at a time of church closings in other areas. The church there re ceived a large grant of land. With a small amount of help from the Foreign Missions Division, in 1977 they com pleted a church building that is a testimony to the King of kings.
When the Harris family went on furlough in 1976, Brother and Sister Don Ikerd came to Awasa for a con ference and visited some of the country works. At that time Russian-inspired communists, with the help of Cubans, were subjecting the people byartillery. To bless the Apostolic churches, the Ikerds faced danger, incon veniences, and lack of suitable lodging and food; however, they joyfully endured it all.
When the time came for the return to Addis, the Ikerds were pushed three times from the bus they were trying to board by a force they could not understand. They waited long in the midst of utter confusion, before Tekle told them to get in a certain car. Down the roadtheyfound
