Unseen Hands
The oldman's prophecy that he would be a preacher burned uncomfortably in Ayele's mind. He turned away, muttering, "Why did I go and look? It is stupid to be drawn by curiosity to view someone's misfortune."
Along withthe rest of Asfaw's family, Ayele grieved sorely over the Dutchman's passing, and nothing he did would erase the words that he heard or the blood that
he saw in the street.
Several years later his surrender to God brought him
peace as Tekle prayed with him in the old Dutchman's prayer room and God filled him with the Holy Ghost.
Paulus spent thirty-three years in and out of Asfaw's house. Although he saw no results of his witness during his lifetime, time would reveal his influence for good on
members of that household.
The memory of the old Dutchman lingers as a beacon,
an out-of-the-ordinary finger, that pointed toward a sweeping deluge of God's Holy Spirit on a thirsty land.
Tekle and Erkenesh.
