Introduction
Luke 24:47 “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
Acts 2:38 “Then Peter, said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
1 Corinthians 6:11 “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, (or baptized) but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”
Witnessing to a Trinitarian one day I showed the above verses to him. I told him that: You see Luke, Peter and Paul all agreed that baptism was to be done in the name of Jesus Christ in order to have our sins “washed” away or remitted. His reply was “Wow! No one has ever showed me these things from the Bible.” Then he looked at his wife and then turned and looked at me in the eyes and asked me “Why then do so many believe in the Trinity and Trinitarian baptism if this not taught in the Holy Bible?”
My reply was “Jeff that is a very good question.” I began to give him a small history lesson about Emperor Constantine and the changes that he and his Roman Catholic bishops forced upon the Roman Empire. Jeff and many others have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ after having this study given to them. It is a valuable aid when teaching on the Godhead or Baptism. Many are well educated today and want and need all of the historical and biblical facts presented to them before they are convinced.
This study can be for an individual or used as a group study. Many Pastors are very busy and need good study tools and lessons to help the Saints and new converts to better understand where popular false teachings came from and why we believe what we do. This study goes straight to the heart of the historical issues and would be good for even a well-established saint or minister to study and read several times before teaching a bible study. It factually and historically answers the question “Why then do so many believe in the Trinity and Trinitarian baptism if it is not taught in the Holy Bible?”
On the front cover first image at left is the head of one of the many large idol statues of Emperor Constantine set up to be worshiped by the general public. Next at the right on the front cover is a coin minted by the Emperor after his so-called conversion with his image along side his pagan Sun God that he worshiped till his death. This man as we will see from this study enforced the Trinity teachings upon his Empire along with other Emperors and Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church. When different religious groups broke away from the Roman Imperial Catholic Church, they kept the non-biblical Trinity dogma without questioning it. After almost 1700 years of indoctrination or the repeating of Byzantine false teachings many have been deceived. However many are awaking to the reality of the real “apostles’ doctrine”, or the original and authentic Bible teachings of the First Century Church. Warning! This study is not politically correct it’s just correct.
