PAGKAKAKILANLAN
An Insight
This literary folio is made as a final requirement for
Filipino Psychology subject, but it doesn't mean that all
the learnings about Sikolohiyang Pilipino would cease
after the semester ends. In here, I did not label the poems
for the fact that as a country that has been colonized for
almost 4 millennia, it feels like we have received too much
labelling, regardless if it is positive or negative. Poems in
here are statements that we should not be caged on the
stereotypes that colonial mentality laid upon us. Same
with sanib. Whenever we see people with unusual, erratic,
and unpredictable movements, we would always perceive
that the person is under possession. We easily throw labels
at people without thinking the repercussions it might
bring upon them.
My final take in this subject and while doing this folio
is that "Tayo ay maging kapwa sa ating kapwa tao". We
need to emphasize enough that as Filipinos, we have a
shared identity. The recognition should start from within,
from us.
