Letter from
the Chairman
Dear Colleagues:
Our business (and personal) world changed due to COVID-19 and I sincerely
hope that you, your family and friends have weathered the storm as safely as
possible.
I am very proud of the tenacity and flexibility the control agencies exhibited
during this unprecedented pandemic. We have proven that, by and large, gov-
ernment can be entrepreneurial and still accomplish its control missions at the
same time.
Technology has played a major part in our ability to interact with colleagues,
business partners, and other key constituencies over the past year and it will
play a large role in the execution of NABCA’s Annual Conference as well.
Presenting virtual events demonstrates a desire to continue to find ways to
interact and connect with, to learn from, and to support each other despite
the inability to meet in person. My theme for this year as NABCA Chairman has
been Sharing Solutions. We have highlighted our innovations through various
outlets, including mini presentations during virtual meetings and the Sharing
Solutions e-newsletter. While it’s disappointing we need to conduct our Annual
Meeting virtually, please take advantage of this opportunity to share our suc-
cesses and to discuss important alcohol beverage sales and regulatory trends.
I look forward to seeing you, albeit online, May 17 – 19, 2021.
A. D. “Zander” Guy, Jr.
NABCA Chairman of the Board
