Seminar IV: “Winning at Warehousing”
Whether you’re a government agency or a private distributor, modernizing warehousing and distribution practices
is a crucial element in servicing customers. However, in transitioning to a new warehouse environment, unforeseen
problems and difficulties often emerge. From the preparation of the RFP to the final handover from the contractor
to the client, what are the “best practices” to avoid lawsuits, unsuccessful transitions, inefficiencies, etc.? Everyone
has heard the horror stories, but this session will highlight successful techniques that have been utilized to produce
smoother transitions. This portion of the distribution cycle may be hidden from the customer, but if it falters, the
customer complains. This panel will present their recommendations to “win at warehousing.”
