Chairman Joseph W. Mollica
Mr. Mollica is Chairman of the New Hampshire Liquor Commission,
appointed by Governor John Lynch in June of 2011. During his tenure,
the NH Liquor and Wine Outlet new store “branding” has been developed
and implemented. Chairman Mollica has overseen the renovation and/
or relocation of 19 NH Liquor and Wine Outlets, with the most recent and
largest in Salem. This location is 24,000-plus-square-feet and is expected
to generate $25.7 million in annual revenue. The Salem Outlet location
is the largest wine shelf set our Category Management Team has ever
completed in the United States. Under the leadership of Chairman Mollica
the NH Liquor Commission has helped raise more than $417,000 through
a variety of campaigns benefiting the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New
Hampshire, Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, Easter Seals New
Hampshire, Toys for Tots, the New Hampshire Food Bank, and MooreMart.
Chairman Mollica holds a BS in culinary arts and food service management
from Johnson & Wales University, Providence, RI. Prior to his appointment,
Chairman Mollica’s background included extensive restaurant and catering
ownership experience, successful partnerships with state and local
government agencies, and over 20 years as a self-employed entrepreneur.
With his “hands on” approach as a business owner, Chairman Mollica has
received numerous awards for his restaurants, including being named as
Top 25 Ski Town Bars in North America by Ski Magazine, and being rated
“91” Phantastic Dining by Boston’s Phantom Gourmet. Chairman Mollica,
his wife Allison, and two sons reside in Sunapee, NH.
