STEP 4 ESSAY
There are a lot of countries all around the world and what makes them different are
their culture and traditions. I can describe my culture in three different aspects which are
food and drink, celebrations and family style.
First, my culture is known for its typical food and drink. For example, Ecuador has
a variety of food thanks to its four regions. The coast region has seafood such as fish, shrimp
and crabs. Also, in the coast region we can find delicious typical food like these: oranges,
pineapples, watermelons. Furthermore, we can say that in the sierra region there are delicious
dishes. The most famous ones are llapingachos, fritada etc.
Second, Celebrations are what make people know about my culture. An example of
this is Christmas and New Year’s Eve. People go to the church at Christmas time and New
Year’s Eve, they wish each other well. Other important celebration for my culture are its
parades. For example, the flower and fruit parade, which is celebrated during the carnival.

The November 12 parade which is one of the most important of my culture.
Third, my country has different regions which affect in people’s life style. For
example, living in the coast region affect people in their daily habits. They can go to the
beach whenever they want, they enjoy the sun and it is always sunny. In the sierra region,
people have to wear warm clothes because it is always cold.
In conclusion, my culture is so interesting for these reasons: food and drink,
celebrations and life style. People should appreciate what they have in their country and be
proud of their culture
