Data communications, network architectures, communication protocols, data link control,
medium access control based on OSI and TCP/IP Model. Local area networks, Metropolitan area
networks and Wide area network, routing protocols and related technologies will be discussed. This
course also gives a broad overview of computer network equipment such as hub, routers and
security devices functionality and practical implementation.

Various useful lab configurations and scenarios. Participants will install and configure
enterprise–level network equipment and learn how to operate and maintain them using both real
devices and simulation software.
DSA-309 Information System Analysis and Design 3(3-0-6)

Basic of system analysis, related tools, system modeling process; techniques to build the
model and programming languages used in simulating the systems. This course will present methods
used to develop software and concepts of objected oriented programming.

To provide the prospective business or information systems professional with fundamental
concepts and skills in data modeling (conceptual, logical and physical), as well as in designing,
building and managing the data layer to support business applications. In addition to data modeling,
some proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL) will be obtained.
