7. Others
7.1 Course articulation and credit transfer from experiences can also be
done by using standardized test, or other tests prescribed by the Institute, or evaluation from
interview, or certified portfolio, provided that the experiences shall be consistent with specific
course offered by the Institute and with an approval from Program Chair and the Dean.
7.2 Course articulation and credit transfer for subjects which are not required
in the studying curriculum can be done as free elective courses. The said subject must be one
of the subjects offered at the same level at the Institute of TNI accepts.
7.3 Course articulation and credit transfer from standardized test, or
proprietary test, or training course organized by non-university organizations, or certified
portfolio, provided that the contents of those activities shall be consistent with one of subjects
offered by the Institute.
7.4 In the event where the Institute sends its students to study or receive
training abroad, course articulation and credit transfer shall be proceeded for those students in
accordance with the rules of the Institute.
7.5 The course articulation and credit transfer by using results from testing or
portfolio shall be valid for only one Program.
7.6 The students who request for course articulation and credit transfer
shall cease the right to receive Honors designation from the Institute, except for those who
participated in the exchange program at the university approved by the Institute.
7.7. Recordation of course articulation and credit transfer:
7.7.1 The articulated course shall be counted as credits required for
graduation but not for calculation of cumulative grade point
average or GPAX.
7.7.2 The articulated course shall be recorded and grade specified as “S”
in the transcript before the assessment results of the first semester
are announced.
7.8 The Program Chair can approve the course articulation and credit
transfer requested by the students participated in exchange program in Japan, provided that it
is appropriate and consistent with subject offered at the Institute.
8. For cases not covered under the aforementioned, the Course Articulation
and Credit Transfer Committee shall approve a new criteria and make the announcement as
additional standard procedures for future use.
