Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology Student Handbook 2019 International Program
4.2 The number of courses and credits that can be articulated and transferred
under this category combined with those in Clause 3 shall not exceed three-fourth of what is
required for graduation by the target program.
4.3 The student who participated and received the certificate for the
training course called “Production Management by Toyota Production System” organized by
Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology shall be entitled to receive articulation and transfer of credit
for Course IMA-409: Toyota Production or PEN-311: Toyota Production.
5. Course articulation and credit transfer for courses on language, social
science and humanities, elective, cooperative education or internship, extra-curricular activity
subjects:
5.1 The College of General Educations and Languages (CGEL) shall be
responsible for course articulation and credit transfer of subjects on English Language,
Japanese Language and Thai Language.
5.1.1 In the event where the students have never studied at a higher
education institution but have taken a language knowledge proficiency test, the student shall
receive an appropriate assessment from the College of General Educations and Languages
which can result in two ways of recommendation.
1) If the students passed the assessment of the College of General
Education and Languages, CGEL may recommend the
students to proceed for credit articulation and credit
recognition. Consequently, the students have to pay the
course articulation and credit transfer fee before the
registration period and do not have to register to take
that course. The record for the course shall be in
accordance with the credit transfer rules. However,
the students who select this recommendation will be
notified that they shall cease the right to receive the Honors
designation from the Institute according to the undergraduate
regulations.
2) The CGEL recommends the students to register taking the
course (not articulation and transfer of credit), under the
condition that the CGEL may introduce learning and
assessment method that differs from ordinary students.
Hence, this method is not considered as credit transfer
and the student will receive the grade point based on the
assessment result of CGEL and the students maintain the
right to receive the Honors designation from the Institute.
