Then there is my cousin Ruthie, of all my first cousins, we have always shared a closeness, more like best friends ever since our teens, and through the most tumultuous years of our lives, we have been there for each other.
Carrie and I continued to work on our relationship, things were coming together better than we could have imagined. Carrie moved into my place late in 2008 taking that one step further. The decision to sell my place took place in 2009. On completion of the sale I then moved to Carrieā€™s home in Doncaster Avenue, Kensington. I believe we emerged even stronger after living together in a relatively small 2-bedroom apartment. It became all so natural, trust, confidence, love, intimacy, and companionship. We both considered ourselves to be very fortunate. The big step came in 2010 when Carrie sold her home, and we bought our first home together in Begonia Street, Pagewood. It was a 3-bedroom townhouse in a lovely countrified area surrounded by trees, golf courses, parks, beaches, and all that matters. It just felt so right setting up home together as a couple.
We were very happy and in that same year 2010, we went on a big overseas trip, from the end of August until the beginning of November spanning 9 weeks. Our itinerary included first stop Washington DC to visit Ian and Kara, the couple that we befriended in Australia; they became very close friends, we thought of ourselves as their Australian pseudo parents as they were much younger than us. They were working and living temporarily in Australia for several years and had their first child Evan in Australia. We really enjoyed our time with them, often on the Max-Sea boat. They are a delightful couple with whom we have become very close and now have 3 children, a lovely family including their immediate family all of whom we have met. They have named their youngest daughter Sydney.
