From there back up to London to visit relatives and friends of Carrie’s, and then we flew to Athens in Greece before boarding the Holland America Line cruise ship, the “Westerdam”. We spent 30 days cruising the Mediterranean from the Black Sea in the east, Turkey, through Greek Islands, Croatia, Venice, Florence, Malta, Sicily and onto Monte Carlo, and southern Spain. In total we visited 27 ports which was all at once, beautiful, exhausting, fun, romantic and memorable.
