Considering the prices of other Manchester City players are nosediving after last night’s
heavy defeat, we have no complaints about taking a small hit.
Yes, a 100% track record would have been great. But we’re real world traders, not vanity
traders, so we tell it like it is. And one of the things we find ourselves saying a lot is, “Keep
your losses small. Be impatient with them. The first cut is often the cheapest.”

So on to the final reckoning.

We decide to keep Ronaldo. Here’s why. His price is up nicely: We bought at £8.97,
he’s currently at £9.34, and with more big fixtures for his big team coming soon, and
every possibility of more dividends, we reckon he’s a keeper, for now.

Jamie Vardy also remains in our portfolio. He’s currently at £1.11 (having been as
high as £1.17 during the week) and we’re holding because we believe that between
now and the end of the season, followed by the start of World Cup fever, he’s in with
a good chance of climbing to his previous high of £1.50 a share, he’s still value.

               Here’s our final portfolio.

                                               END OF DAY SEVEN

                 Jamie Vardy: £11.10
