Dear Friends Our club under the Guidance of Director Medical Rtn. Dr. Sanyam Gadkari
successfully executed the Second Blood Donation Project of the Rotary Year 2019-20
under the End Thalassemia Initiative of Dist. 3142 in the form of organizing a Blood
Donation Camp " Drop Of Blood" on 3rd. November 2019 at Mahajan Wadi , Jambli Naka,
Thane. RC THANE MIDTOWN JOINTLY WITH SHREE HALAI LOHANA MAHAJAN
TRUST, JALARAM SATSANG MANDAL AND TRUMPH BLOOD BANK Keeping in line
with the theme of the Rotary Year 2019-20 “ROTARY CONNECTS THE WORLD”, it was
this unique initiative and efforts put in by our President to connect with the LOHANA
MAHAJAN TRUST, JALARAM SATSANG MANDAL to join hands with an international
organisation like Rotary and do there little bit towards the greater cause of service to
mankind. On the auspicious occasion of Shree Jalaram Bapa birth anniversary Members
of the Thane Lohana Community organise a day long function at Mahajan Wadi Jambli
Naka Thane. The event which started at 10 am and went up to 7.30 pm witnessed a foot
fall of more than 200 persons including Rotarians, Non Rotarians, and majorly Members
of the Lohana Community. An overwhelming 51 units of blood were collected on the
occasion. The major Blood Donors of the day were from the MAHAJAN LOHANA
COMMUNITY OF THANE city who came in large numbers with a sense of pride. They
were very well managed by the committee members of the LOHANA TRUST of which
*Rtn. Vasanti Gokhani and Rtn. Nittin Thakkar are active members of RC of Thane
Midtown who ensured their presence throughout the day to coordinate with the Blood
bank staff so that the whole process goes thru seamlessly and smoothly. No doubt the
TRUMPH BLOOD BANK STAFF professionally managed the whole process & very
patiently handled a very hectic and eventful day. Once again thanks to one and all for
making the event a grand success.
