In their desperate flight Is worth noting After the Northfield fight
Bob was wounded bad Cole and Jim could see And they chose to stay With Bob instead of flee
That’s the one thing the Youngers could say They kept the faith with each Other all the way
By the time they fell Into the hands of the law Cole was shot eleven Times and Jim in the jaw
Many years in prison Was Cole and Jim’s price Many years in prison For their sacrifice
The Youngers played a Game they couldn’t win But they stuck together Until the very end
