Our times are in y hands.
A high school book report I’ll never forget From sixty years ago
I recall still yet
Based on a subject That I knew in part But what I knew
I spoke from my heart
The story of the James Younger gang I told An outlaw’s story From days of old
The progression of the Class interest was slow Till I started telling Them things they didn’t know
Cole Younger honoring Women spoke loud When wounded bad in a Wagon he bowed
And I found through study And much research While hiding out Cole sang
In the choir of a church
Of course the whole gang I talked about
But it was Cole Younger’s Story that stood out
It was as though What I didn’t know Cole himself told me Through Jesus in my soul
