This is how the Younger Odyssey started And in this poem I
Want it recorded
The starting point was Nineteen fifty four When Jesus opened up
A spiritual door
And I recall now
In this poetic text
It began in a Theater called the Rex
And an everlasting Impression was made From the movie
The Great Missouri Raid
An unexpected Intermission came And manikins were shown Of outlaw fame
True images they were And I took it all in
And that’s the point where my Interest would begin
Jesse James and Cole Younger seemed so real And with Cole Younger His presence I could feel
Than my interest Continued to manifest With the book “The Pictorial History Of The Wild West”.
This is how the Younger Odyssey started And in this poem
I want it recorded
Acts Chapter 26, Verse 19.
I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.
