 Taps By Sam Weaver
A/227th
This poem is for you
And all that ever
Heard taps played through
Taps always comes And begins to play When heavy hearts Have no more to say
A calming stillness Penetrates the air Through this unspoken Musical prayer
This is not a prayer Said but what you feel When words give way To peace be still
A life on earth
Is over and done But taps reminds us We’re spiritually one
Taps has a message
It constantly sends Man has a spirit Whose life never ends
You can hear it in
Taps echoing ring
That says through Jesus Death lost its sting
