East Brazilian jaguar
It is not a true subspecies but rather a geographic group of jaguars north and west of the Amazon
river and south of Central America.
Pantanal jaguar
The Pantanal jaguar is the largest subspecies, weighing more than 135kg. They can be found in the
Pantanal regions of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil along the Paraguay river into
Paraguay and Northeastern Argentina.
