At this stage, it will be most appropriate to tell the story of my Engineering studies in the esteemed institute called Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kharagpur). When I was in the last year of High School, I had a friend who was top at studies. Our regular connection was somewhat broken as we joined different Science colleges. However, he used to play volleyball at the Sir ParashurambhauCollege, Tilak Road, Pune. I used to go to play also as the place was close to my house. After one year, he suddenly disappeared when I was studying in the second year of college studies. One day he returned to the Volleyball court and I happened to meet him. He told me that he joined a very reputed engineering institute, called Indian Institute of Technology. I was then in the second year of science college preparing for admission to the College of Engineering, Pune which also is a very reputed college. But, I learnt that IIT was considered the best institute in India and there were only 5 IITs in the entire India. I was attracted by the IIT and wanted to try to get admission there. I started preparing for the entrance examination with great inspiration. My father encouraged me to study for this examination without asking what IIT meant and without any discussion about it. Only top students appear for this examination and only a small percentage get admission there. But, myself as well as my father held a general belief that I would be awarded an admission into IIT. When the results of the examination were out, my name was in the selection list, but unfortunately I ranked towards the bottom of the list. I knew the reason for this. I had absentmindedly forgotten to answer a part of Physics questionnaire.
Anyway, we enquired through our friends at IIT Mumbai about my chances of getting a good placement in IIT. I was
