case the above mentioned person relinquishes his seat. I accepted this offer. When I came out, I told my sister that I had accepted admission in IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal. She was shocked and held herself responsible for my going so far away from Pune, for the first time in life. When we reached Pune, all my friends and family were shocked at my decision to go so far from the family. But, my father and mother both supported this idea. I remember my father stating several times that I will be blessed by the Natha Yogis who visit Bengal more frequently. I did not know what that meant then. But now I find that my stay in Bengal for 7 years contributed highly to my Yoga studies! I had a chance to study the lives of Ramakrishna Paramahansa and Swami Vivekananda in details. I also visited their places of stay on numerous occasions. There was a group of Spiritual students in IIT Kharagpur that I had a privilege to be member of for 5 years. I was able to study Yoga and Spirituality in isolation for several years. In short, my stay in IIT Kharagpur is a major period in my Yoga study. It is amazing to think of going to an advanced institute of Engineering and being able to add spiritual studies to that. It was a blessing in reality! My father wrote to me so many letters during this period and they inspired me in my Engineering studies, material well being and at the same time guided me properly towards my spiritual goals without falling into ditches of confusion, doubt and dependence on others for material sustenance, the things which I find among many Yoga students that cross my path.
I wish to elaborate a little bit on my admission into the Engineering Institution, IIT. When I accepted admission into the IIT at the interview in Mumbai, I was not aware of expenses for that education. How naïve! When we returned to Pune, one close friend of my sister gave us the information
