even if my funds were very low. My father told me that the books would not provide what I was looking for. But, I could not resist the temptation. He did not object or resist me much. I used to disobey my father on more occasions than obey him. I found that when I disobeyed, it wasted my energy and time. And, when I obeyed I did get the result he stated. I think I would have become better if I had obeyed. But, of course, I do not feel regret as I did explore things myself without his objecting.Anyway, I did obey some very important things he told me. But, it is also true that when I disobeyed important things that he told me, I had to go through a hell of troubles. But, my father was very forgiving and he never reiterated others’ mistakes making them feeling guilty. He would rather encourage making the best of the situation at hand. I never saw my father negative in his entire life. He was always positive. It seems he knew everything and so he was peaceful about everything. Such an experience can be somewhat painful for those who are not able to digest the peace, but it is very useful to a spiritual aspirant. I have been on both these paths and therefore, sometimes I can guide a person in difficulty.
At this stage, I would like to comment on the association of My Father with money. As described earlier (cf:His Childhood) my father’s educational life went in extreme poverty and hardship. Later, he had a financially lower family life with many children. But, on the other hand he always blessed his disciples with the sufficient money. Almost all of my father’s disciples, even extremely poor ones, owned their own home at one stage. My father was not able to buy a home for himself. Though he had extraordinary skills in teaching and he had hundreds of rich students, and also some very rich devotees wishing to donate money, he never got into money and remained very poor throughout his life.
