me to become financially stable and better, and also enjoy the material enjoyments. This may be due to his knowledge of my Karma. However, he himself never became financially very good. But, somehow he was able to lead his entire life without owing anybody any money. When he died, he had only a sum of 50 dollars in his account. His entire property was some papers, one golden ring with a yellow Safire, and some spiritual items. I never saw my father attached to money. He was the master of his mind and money could never create worry in his mind. However, he always tried to get whatever was needed for my education. It was interesting that money would flow in for my education whenever there was a need. After I got a job, for whatever reasons, I was not able to provide sufficient money for my father. He never asked for money from me. And, when he died he came into my widow mother’s dream and told her that she would always be provided for. This happened exactly. My father told me a few times that his destiny does not have ownership of housing property though he was able to help hundreds with their problems. I think a similar thing took place in his Guru’s case. And, Saibaba of Shirdi shows the same traits. It is interesting to mention that my father had a royal look even when he wore the simplest clothes. There was something about his personality that made him look in charge of himself, a real king indeed![Illustration 10: My Father in 1953].
My father had told me only a few times, but in a relaxed mood, that he had a special ability to request Shirdi Saibaba for welfare of a person. But, my father never ever asked anything for himself. Only a saint can do such a thing!
