My father did not make a single dime for himself throughout the life using this temple. His guru also passed away without any property. They both had hundreds of devotees who were helped by them. Both of them kept totally away from the publicity and their spiritual realization was not in words, but in action.
In connection to the Parvati Temple, I clearly remember one incidence. There wasArati prayer due to some occasion that day. Many people were in the temple. This is before the renovated temple was built. Thus, the older temple was filled with people. After the Arati was over, people were talking outside. My father was also outside. Suddenly he ran inside to the shrine of Krishnanatha Maharaj and put his ears to the shrine, as he used to do when he communicated with his Guru on rare occasions. At this time, my father was going through very hard times financially. But, he never showed dissatisfaction. He always kept positive attitude and encouraged me to go further. But, of course the tiresome experience was seen on his body. That day, after the crowd was cleared, my father told me clearly as I remember it vividly, that his guru asked him whether it was too much for him to bear and whether he would like to be relieved of his current life. This was so because my father had some Karma left and was on the way to liberation in the present life. If he wants to take another birth and end the present life’s suffering was the question his guru asked him. My father told this to me. He wanted me to understand that I need to study well and progress well so that I could come out of the poverty and be self-sufficient.
