The devotees of Saibaba in Mumbai who were disciples of either Das Kisan Baba or Dasi Damayanti (Taiji) decided to build a temple in the honor of Das Kisan Baba, called Sai Mangal Dham at Malad, Mumbai. The place was purchased and the temple work was to begin. At this time, Taiji had a dream in which she was indicated that the temple of Shree Krishnanatha Maharaj that was in inadequate state should be renovated properly before the temple in the honor of Das Kisan Baba, a disciple of Krishnanatha Maharaj could be built in Mumbai. She was asked to find Mr. Vinayak Kulkarni (my father) who was the chief trustee of the Pune temple. So, a disciple of Taiji, named Mr. Kripalani was sent to Pune. He found out my father and it took more than 10 years to get permission to build, but they finally built it. There were many obstacles they had to overcome. However, my father was extremely patient and seemed sure that the temple would be built. I myself have met Mr. Kripalani and seen the trials my father had to go through till the rebuilding of the temple. This fantastic temple stands at the bottom of the Parvati Hills in Pune. I know for sure that the temple is vibrating with the live energy of Shree Krishnanatha Maharaj. I myself have witnessed many joyous devotional festivities here. Also, I have witnessed miracles happening here. This is where my father’s dead body was brought before its cremation. I was in New Zealand. But, this temple shall serve as the biggest testimony of my father’s presence and work. My father’s Guru’s Tomb with his bones was built in this temple in 1944 as described earlier. These bones were previously worshipped by my father at his own home. Along side the Guru, two disciples are worshipped in this temple. Also, Shree Dattatreya statue is worshipped so that the water from his feet runs into the tomb of Shree Krishnanatha Maharaj. Shree Sai Baba of Shirdi and the Guru of Krishnanatha Maharaj namely, Shree Vakratunda Maharaj are also worshipped.
