ROI vs TCO?
Simple Terms
An ROI calculation usually just considers the initial investment
(price) for the project and the expected benefits over a specific
timeframe, usually three to five years.
TCO, on the other hand, includes all of the related costs but also
gives opportunity to articulate all related benefits.
Most Popular
In an online survey of 225 technology managers, 62 percent of
respondents favored ROI compared to TCO's 38 percent.
