• Traditional email has limitations. Anyone can read the message, there’s no guaranteed message recall and if the
recipient forwards your message, you as the sender have no control.

• Cisco’s encrypted email provides you the ability to ensure that email is confidential - only the sender and the
recipient can read that email.

• You get a read receipt so that you know when your message has been opened. If you want to recall a message, you
can expire a key or lock a key so the recipient cannot open or view those messages.

• You have complete control as a sender. Even if your message is replied to or forwarded, it goes out encrypted so
the recipient has to authenticate in order to open and view.
