METALWORKING EQUIPMENT
        AND TOOLS
Since during the processing the products fixed in
the holders do not come into contact with each other, the
possibility of their collisions, leading to damage to the
machined surfaces or chipping of the cutting edges of the
tools, is eliminated. The machine allows you to automate
the processing using robots for loading and unloading work
        pieces.
Slow rotation during processing gives uniformity to
the finishing process, fast rotation in its turn a higher value
of rounding on sharp to rims.
In plants using the stream finishing technology, SF
series machines (Fig. 2), a work piece is immersed in a
rotating working tank filled with an abrasive mixture, rotating
at a speed of no more than 60 min-1 and inclined by an
angle of -25 ° relative to the axis of rotation of the holder ...
+ 25 °. In comparison with the tow finishing technology, the
processing time is significantly reduced, and the processing
of areas that are difficult to access for abrasives during
traditional tumbling of blanks is provided.
With the further development of streaming finishing
technology, the innovative PulsFinish ® technology was a
developed (Fig. 3), which provides for the rotation of a
working container with an abrasive mixture into which work
pieces fixed in a special holder are immersed.
A feature of this processing process is that the
holder with the work piece is spun in 0.5 - 2.0
seconds by an innovative impulse spindle to a
        speed of 1,500 ... 30,000 min-1, then during
a short period of time there is a sharp braking
and acceleration with a reverse of 1,500 ...
30,000 rpm. The relative rotation speeds of
the work pieces with an acceleration of about
100 g and high contact pressures explain the
        extremely high processing intensity.
Consider the features of the application
of these technologies on practical examples
implemented in the research process and in
        real production. b

               Experimental part

               Towing finishing of working
        deforming surfaces of a chipless
        tap (Fig. 4) favorably affects
        the reduction of forces when
        rolling threads and the reduction
        of adhesion to the material
        being processed. Together, this
increases the tool life as well as
the quality of machining of the
        internal thread.
               After grinding / sharpening
        or re-grinding of axial cutting
tools (spiral, screw and gun drills,
taps, end mills, etc.), chips and c
        various defects are observed on
their cutting edges, leading to Fig. 2. General view (a), the workflow room (b) and the machining process
premature failure of the tools (c) of an elongated spiral drill on an SF 3 lathe.
