“I’ll get it,” Randy decided.
“Hold on I’ll be there,” she shot back.
Randy grabbed the doorknob and pulled. The woman stepped
into the house very quickly and closed the door behind her. “My mother isn’t here,” Randy reported.
“That’s okay, honey. I’ll talk to her later.”
The lady reached into her pocketbook and pulled out a si-
lenced revolver.
Poof! The pistol spat silently.
Randy was thrown into the stairs with his chest-splattered
open.
Brandon was running toward the front from the living room to
see what made the noise. He came running around the corner of the stairwell smiling as he approached the lady. Suddenly he looked to his left at his brother and screamed. The lady turned, raising her pistol to shoot him as he turned to run into the living room
Poof! Cling! The pistol shot broke a lamp, and the woman pursued Brandon quickly into the living room.
Poof! Splat! The next shot slammed Brandon against the wall as he was rounding a turn into another room. He fell to the floor while the woman stood above him and stared into his eyes.
Poof! Brandon lay lifeless on the floor.
Sienna came running and was halfway down the stairs be- fore spotting her brother. She slowly descended the stairs with tears of disbelief in her eyes. She reached the second from the last step as the woman moved toward the front door. The intruder spotted Sienna, turned, and brought her pistol from her side to claim her next victim. From the corner of her eye, Sienna spotted the pistol’s movement and kicked it in a continuing upward spi- ral toward the ceiling.
Pop! The bullet hit the ceiling.
The momentum of the kick sent the woman reeling back- wards toward the front door with the gun falling from the ceiling behind her. Sienna trembling broke to her left and ran trying to
