XVI Liberation at the Cabin
Corin was feeling very pleased with himself and smiled in front of his computer while thinking: “I probably should have had two copies of this software made, but I guess I’ll just carry it with me if I need to travel. Can’t let anyone happen upon this by mistake. Let me see. Now that I’ve started killing off the task force, they should have something else to think about while I escape. If that doesn’t do it, trying to figure out what happened to their families definitely will. Hmmm. There is still the matter of Tom and his crew. I guess I’ll have to take a chance that this software is as bug free as he says it is and finally put him and his crew to sleep.
“I know when he saw Tina’s picture it all came back to him. Now that his friends are involved in this escapade, he will hurt as much as I have before he goes. I should have killed his girl- friend earlier, but it doesn’t matter. He’ll never know she got away. I guess its time to get them back to the cabin.
“Don’t worry, baby,” Corin said, talking to his daughter’s pic- ture, “his time is coming soon.”
He sent several pages to his men guarding Tom’s program- ming team. One at a time each guard called in for instructions. On each occasion, Corin told them to allow them to curtail their current activity and take them back to the cabin to await further instructions. Each member of the programming team had been allowed to do virtually as they pleased.
