She drove to a secluded store, parked, and went in alone. After 15 minutes she came out and drove away.
“Now where we are going is a safehouse. When we get there, stay in the car until I go through and check it all out,” she or- dered.
“Got it,” both women said in unison.
Visara pulled into the garage and placed her finger over her lips to remind her companions of what she had said before. Then the three evacuated the car. She went in with an instrument from her car. Once inside, she checked many objects while searching for bugs and boobytraps.
“Okay. You come in now,” she told the others from the kitchen door.
Jennifer and Sienna were both hungry and proceeded to the kitchen to fix dinner.
“You hungry Visara?” Jennifer shouted toward the back of the house.
“No thanks. I’ll be there in a minute.”
After about twenty minutes, she emerged from the bedroom in a hurry.
“Girls, I have to go somewhere but I have sent for someone to stay with you. They should be here any minute.”
Catching a whiff of the cooking, she said, “Well, I guess I am hungry after all. We all gotta eat.”
Then she went over several documents at the while the food was being cooked.
“Soup’s on!” Sienna hollered.
“Good,” said Visara. “I’m famished now.”
The spaghetti dinner was served as Visara started putting
her papers away. They had just finished saying grace when a knock came from the garage. Visara jumped from her seat and raced to the kitchen door sliding the curtain sideways for a bet- ter view. She took a long exhale recognizing Sky’s face.
“That was pretty quick,” she said.
