“I almost forgot,” Jennifer noted, “Seige called me at the office. I wonder where he went?”
“He must be onto something important because I have paged him, and he has not returned my page or called me, Visara men- tioned.
“I wonder what’s on these new disk I got from dad?” Sienna mused. She removed her notebook computer from her rucksack and turned it on. After the computer booted up, She placed one of the disks into the drive. She clicked a button called “elimina- tors” on the screen.
“Ciba, Angie and Eradicator? This is no programming soft- ware. And who are all these people? Oh My God! Mom! Visara! Look at this. She’s the woman who killed the guys!” Sienna screamed. “And the one who tried to kill me!”
Visara spun to her right leaning over the seat at the images on the screen.
“What is the screen trying to do?”
“It’s trying to connect with the modem and telephone line. “Well, you’re right about one thing. This is no programming
software. And something tells me that we are in real trouble. Where did you get this?”
“It was on the floor already opened with the mail. I just thought it was for me.
“Who was it addressed to?” Visara probed.
“Just Dad’s. There was no return address.”
“Someone must be trying to warn Seige, and he probably
doesn’t even know about this.
All three women stared at the computer screen in amaze-
ment.
“Someone is controlling these people with this program,”
said Visara. “I have a strange feeling that this software was made in conjunction with what Seige is working on. If my guess is right, the entire team may be in trouble, and their families may be innocent victims. Unless . . .”
“Unless what?” Jennifer asked.
