minutes, Sky was convinced that their intelligence was correct after all. He could not see his security team on either side of him but after going through the U.S. Army Ranger course with them he had come to know these guys pretty well. He had come to depend on them as if they were closer than his own brothers were. The training had forced them all to depend on each other; they had not forgotten and they would never forget. Even though he thought DEA, FBI and ATF working together was a bust, his mind had changed completely. It was the guys not the agency and he was damn glad to be part of this unique metamorphosis.
Sky swept the terrain again with his scope, first right then left, and right again. Suddenly, he spotted one of his team mem- bers approaching from right to left staggering as if he was drunk.
“Damn,” he said silently to himself smiling, “he really is pretty good,” as his teammate stepped into the street to accent the drunken phasod.
He watched in admiration for another few seconds before panning to his left. His other teammate was moving from his left to right just walking normal converging on the mark.
“Doggoned if Seige didn’t come up with another kick-ass plan,” Sky thought to himself.
Meanwhile, Seige was waiting on the remaining seconds to elapse before the fireworks started. He knew that only two of the men on his task force were Vietnam veterans, but he trusted them all to be where they were supposed to be and do their job. He was excited that they were going to actually hit the headquar- ters of the Blue Heaven drug operation. How often does anyone get a break like this one? He must be blessed he thought. To bring down the king of the newest designer drug known to man- kind, and here he was poised to strike, it was too much to hope for. Even though the intelligence came from outside their circle, he tried to remain positive. This was going to be the big hit, and his task force was going to be the ones to do it. He felt proud as he raised his sleeve to check his watch covered in his congealed sweat like jello. Just a half a minute to go. Sky was chuckling to
