The ideal teacher for the ideal

school

An ideal teacher for this school needs to be an
inclusive educator, including all learners in the

educational process and catering for the different
learning needs which the diverse range of learners
may have. He/she also needs to treat all learners

equally and fairly. The teacher also needs to assess
learners in different ways in order to accommodate

the different learning needs. The ideal teacher must
also create a safe learning environment for all
learners where the environment is accepting and

respecting of all learners.
An ideal Teacher also needs to be a lifelong learner

whereby he/she is opened to constantly learn new
things and or new ways of teaching, this includes
st
learning 21 century skills and incorporating new
teaching styles using technology in the classroom.
For this school this is necessary as the school has
resources such as smart boards. Learners at this

school face many challenges including language
barriers as many of them do not have English as
their first language. Here the ideal teacher needed

would be one that is able to connect with learners as
human beings, showing empathy and being a pillar

of strength to learners and always motivating and
encouraging learners. 6
