         About the Author
                       Dennis M. Fare is currently the Assistant Superintendent for the Mahwah Township Public Schools in
                       New Jersey, where he oversees the hiring and evaluation of all non-tenured and novice teachers. He
                       has also served as Supervisor of English Language Arts for the district. He has taught English for many
                       years in an urban district, as well as English education, literacy education, and school administration
                       and leadership at the college level. Dennis holds a B.A. in English and an M.Ed. in English education
                       from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. He also holds supervisor, principal, and superintendent
         certifications. Currently, through the University of Arkansas, Dennis is a doctoral candidate through their Human
         Resources and Workforce Development program.
