My Roots
I was born in Los Angeles, California.
I moved to New Mexico and lived there until my teens. I went to high school and college in Atlanta, Georgia. After college, I moved back to Los Angeles.
My mother was a Spanish radio DJ and musician in the seventies and early eighties, and my father was and still is an avid record collector and music lover. One can say that
I was born to love music, and I was heavily influenced by both my parents. Even though I grew up listening to good music, I developed my own music taste over time.
I love hip hop, house, jungle, Brazilian, Salsa, Soul & Funk, Rock, Jazz, Dancehall & many other genres.
I would attribute my love for music to my parents. But...I would attribute the club scene in Atlanta to becoming DJ Rashida.
