VIRTUAL CONFERENCE VIEWING
Virtual conference viewing makes it possible for those who are not able to physically
attend the 2020 General Conference to enjoy some of its critical events including the opening worship service, keynote address by the presidential candidate(s), Sunday worship service, retirement ceremony, and the closing worship service. Virtual observers can remotely view key components of the Conference through the internet and in real time. Whether on a computer, tablet, or smartphone, observers from all over the world can witness.
There are several benefits to virtual conference viewing. Besides providing access to those who are unable to personally attend due to health, age, or travel restrictions, it grants access to former, new, or potential members of African Methodism. Through “congregational viewing,” it encourages community in local churches. It also bridges the distance gap of connectional membership.
While there is no charge for virtual conference viewing, there will be opportunities for you to donate through Givelify to support the AME Church and the 2020 General Conference. Online registration is required prior to viewing the programming at no cost.
