Chairperson’s Report
The General Meeting was held Thursday
afternoon on 25th July.
It was good to be able to announce that the
Police had solved the village burglaries with
information given to them by Alpine
management and that (some) residents have
got their property back.
Also discussed was the Sky TV issues some
residents are having and, as we said, the
committee will be presenting a submission to
Alpine management.
The Alpine Residents Association held a quiz
night for its members on the 25 July.
Comments from those who attended, said it
“was a very successful evening”. The
committee received great compliments, with
well over eighty residents taking part. There
were teams of six making up fourteen tables,
and it was a fun night for all. Thank you all for
your support. We hope to see you again next
year!

all village functions.
In July we had a string trio from the Christchurch
Symphony Orchestra come and entertain us. It was
a real treat to hear such talented ladies, who just
happened to be sisters, playing special music from
their homeland, the Ukraine. We hope to be able
to have a similar concert next year.
Now that our chosen charity has been announced,
The Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Service, the
Residents Committee will be running another
Christmas raffle. In the next newsletter, we will let
you know when we will start selling tickets.
