Tretower Court and Castle

This is an early 13th Century circular tower (keep) and medieval house, with a
reconstructed medieval garden. The property is in the care of Cadw and an audio
tour is available. The ground floor of the building is level and the grounds have
cobbles in the courtyard and firm grass in the garden. There are picnic tables in the
grounds. Entry fee.
How to get there: Tretower Court is just off the A479 and A40, 3.3 miles/5.3km
north-west of Crickhowell.

Public Transport: The X43(TC) Brecon -Abergavenny stops on the A40 then a ½ mile
(800m) walk along a narrow road.
Parking: Free car park with two accessible parking bays by the entrance.
Nearest EV Charging: Beaufort Street Car Park, Crickhowell, NP8 1AE.
Facilities: There is a first-floor restaurant (lift available) and a gift shop on site, a pub in
Cwmdu village just north of Tretower and a wider range of shops and cafes in Crickhowell.
Toilets: In the visitor centre and also behind the north range of the court.
There is an accessible toilet at each.
